A ladybird lives for about 5 to 6 months. At the start of spring, the new generation emerges. This generation lives through the whole summer until September. And in September, new ladybirds arrive.
And these ones, around November, form clusters under the bark of trees or in the frames of windows. And they overwinter. So these are the ones that come back the following season.
