To breed ladybirds, you have to breed aphids, because aphids are the food of ladybirds. So, upstream, what we do is we breed aphids, and the aphids need to be of good quality for the ladybirds to lay properly. If the aphids are of poor quality, the ladybirds are unhappy and they don’t lay.
