Our ladybird breeding operation started following a request from a group of producers of apples and pears who were very keen to try to develop a more natural approach to controlling aphids, mainly in apple orchards. Over time, as we developed our operation, we also realised that there was quite a significant market, that there was also strong demand from private individuals who had gardens and who had a great many aphid problems as well. And following European legislation that progressively banned the use of pesticides in gardens, demand increased significantly. That is also why we directed our breeding operation towards the garden market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alongside that, we also realised that there were quite a few aphid problems in urban areas, in towns, with large trees lining the roads, etc. There was also demand for a more natural approach to controlling aphids, and also because legislation, once again, was set to ban the use of pesticides, and so gradually too, we became interested in this sector of large trees and the control of aphids in urban environments, and we received more and more requests, and that is how our breeding operation was built, both around the professional sector and the more private market with gardens, aphids attacking rose bushes, etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
