In de jaren 90 waren Philippe Marc en Philippe Thiry, technische adviseurs bij GAWI, op zoek naar een natuurlijk alternatief voor pesticiden in appelboomgaarden. Ze ontmoetten Jean-Louis Hemptinne en Beno\u00eet Adam (Landbouwfaculteit van Gembloux, nu Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech - ULi\u00e8ge) die onderzoek deden naar het lieveheersbeestje Adalia bipunctata<\/em> en haar rol in de biologische bestrijding. De twee partners toonden de doeltreffendheid van Adalia bipunctata<\/em> tegen appelbladluizen aan. In 1999 werd Horpi geboren. <\/p>\n

Oorspronkelijke doelstellingen: industrialiseren van de kweek vanAdalia bipunctata<\/em> en op de markt brengen van een reeks biologische bestrijdingsproducten. <\/p>\n

Omdat industrialisatie complex bleek, verlegde Horpi zijn inspanningen snel naar priv\u00e9tuinen en groene ruimten, terwijl het een doorlopend O&O-programma uitvoerde (kweken, voeden, conserveren, productiecapaciteit, logistiek).<\/p>\n

Vandaag de dag produceert Horpi miljoenen lieveheersbeestjes per jaar, distribueert het zijn oplossingen in heel Europa en blijft het zijn processen optimaliseren om eenvoudige, effectieve producten aan te bieden die zijn afgestemd op de particuliere, publieke en professionele sector.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
