Choosing ladybirds: larvae or adults?

Generally speaking, it’s best to introduce ladybird larvae because they are very effective, voracious, and will thoroughly clean the plants. However, it can also be beneficial to introduce adult ladybugs because they will seek out aphid infestations, lay eggs, and these eggs, which will then hatch into larvae, will prolong the action of the ladybug larvae and provide greater long-term effectiveness.
