Will ladybirds stay in my garden?

The ladybird larvae that you introduce onto plants to control aphids will grow, they will become adults, and they will carry on cleaning up the aphids, but at some point there will be no more aphids left on the plants. And at that point, the ladybirds will leave and will only stay in the garden if there are other plants with aphids for them to continue their cycle, feed, lay eggs, produce larvae, and so on.
